Krzysztof Koszewski graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology in 1993 with an MSc degree in architecture. In 2006, he earned a PhD in architecture and urban planning in 2006 with a thesis on data management in architectural heritage, and in 2020 he earned a habilitation (doctor of science degree) for his work on the role of contemporary image in architecture.
He is affiliated with the Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture, Chair of Architectural Design (formerly the Department of Computer Aided Architectural Design), currently as a dean of the faculty. He is involved in research in the field of computational design, architectural heritage, as well as visual communication in architecture, methodology of design process, and research by design. He has taken part in several research grants related to digital methods in virtual hypothetical reconstructions of built heritage, as well as to computational methods in design. In 2022, he was a visiting researcher at the University of Bologna.
Robert Olszewski conducts research on the modeling of spatial information or, more precisely, the extraction and acquisition of spatial information using artificial intelligence methods, as well as on the smart city concept, cartographic generalization, geostatistics, gamification, and social geoparticipation. The results of many years of his research work have been published in several monographs and more than one hundred papers. Since 2011, he has been a professor at the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography of the Warsaw University of Technology, and since 2015 the head of the Chair of Cartography. He works with businesses as well as government and local- government entities in the implementation of R&D projects and commercialization of interdisciplinary research in the field of geoinformation, computational intelligence, spatial data services, social geoparticipation, gamification, smart city, and spatial data mining.
Piotr Pałka received an M.Sc.,Eng. degree (2005) and a Ph..D degree (2009) in computer science from the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT), Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology (FEIT). He is an assistant professor at the WUT employed by the Institute of Control and Computation Engineering (ICCE). His research interests focus on multiagent systems, communication problems, agent-based modelling systems, and development of complex systems. He is the author/coauthor of over 100 conference and journal papers as well as books on the above-mentioned research topics.
Renata Walczak graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology with a degree in Environmental Engineering. She has earned a Ph.D. in the field of mechanical engineering and habilitation (doctor of science degree) in the area of agricultural engineering related to grain drying. She was involved in the technical diagnostics and project management. She is a certified project management educator. Currently, her research interests focus on management. She is involved in statistical data analysis, primarily structural equation modelling and technology acceptance assessment in the areas of healthcare, smart cities, hydrogen technologies, and Industry 4.0. Currently, she is the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Petrochemistry, and the Vice-Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology.
She is the author of 3 books and more than 100 research papers.
Przemysław Korpas earned the M.Sc. (2010) and Ph.D. (2015) degrees in electronics from the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT), Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology (FEIT). He is an assistant professor at the WUT and works at the Institute of Radioelectronics and Multimedia Technology. His research interests focus on the design of microwave radiocommunication and measurement devices, especially those based on the Software Defined Radio technology, IoT systems, and low-level embedded programming. He is the author/coauthor of over 30 conference and journal papers on the above-mentioned research topics.
Karolina Dąbrowska-Żółtak received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in mechatronics in 2014 and 2015, and the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in architecture in 2014 and 2016, respectively, all from the Warsaw University of Technology. Currently, she is working toward the PhD degree from the Faculty of Architecture of the same university.
Since 2017, she has been a research assistant at the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology. From 2015 to 2018, she served as a Design Engineer at UNILOGO ROBOTICS in Poland, which designs technical solutions for the construction of machinery and production lines. Her research interests are in the fields of integration of new technologies in architectural and urban design, with a focus on kinetic and responsive architecture.
Michał Wyszomirski, Ph.D. (2019) in geoinformatics from Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography, Poland. His research interests focus on data modeling, data mining, and big data.
Olga Czeranowska-Panufnik is a Ph.D. candidate at the Doctoral School of the Warsaw University of Technology. An architect, urban planner, and UX designer. She focuses on optimizing the public spaces in cities.
In 2019, she graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology where she earned an M.Sc. degree in architecture. She has earned a scholarship from the President of Warsaw for Ph.D. candidates conducting researched aimed to develop standards for streets as public spaces (2020). She is the winner of the Polar Mission competition organized by the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2021), and the winner of 1st prize for a team project on the urban development of a district in the Czech city of Nachod. A nominee for the finals of the Young Talent Architecture Award issued by Fundació Mies van der Rohe (2020).
Andrzej Manujło received his B.Sc. (2012) and M.Sc. (2015) from Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology. In 2016 he began Ph. D. studies. While studying he was participant student exchanges in Sweden, Czech Republic, Denmark and Turkey. He is an assistant professor at the WUT employed by the Institute of Control and Computation Engineering (ICCE). His research interests focus on Internet of Things, Data Science and cloud solutions.
Urszula Szczepankowska-Bednarek is a sociologist and anthropologist; a graduate of the Institute of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw, as well as postgraduate studies in project management at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw and studies in the field of shaping urban space at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw; field researcher, author and co-author of scientific publications, actively participating in the widely understood scientific life. A member of European Sociological Association, as well as a board member of one of the sections of the Polish Sociological Association. Italian government scholarship holder. Her current research relates to an interdisciplinary doctorate about public consultation processes with PPGIS and several projects at the WUT. She works at the WUT in Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer Management, the Department of Young Researchers' Innovation Development.
Anna Szalwa received a M.A. 2019 from the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. Currently, she studies at the Doctoral School at the Warsaw University of Technology and conducts her research at the Faculty of Architecture.
In 2020-2022 she lectured at the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of the University of Humanities in Wrocław, and since 2022 she is working at the SWPS University in Wrocław at the Graphics’ Department. Her specialization is multimedia for theater performances. The research of her doctoral dissertation is focused on aspects of the urban space which optimize formulas for intermedia artistic activity, consolidating processes of revitalization of medium-sized city centres.
Graduate of the University of Warsaw in the field of pedagogy (Ph.D.), German studies (M.Sc.) and postgraduate studies in Polish language glottodidactics (teaching Polish as a foreign language. She participated in a program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education called TransFormation.Doc, implemented at the University of Alberta, Canada. She is considered an active local government and social activist open to new challenges and projects. At present, she combines administrative work at the Warsaw University of Technology with her scientific and didactic passions related to conducting classes in the field of didactics and social pedagogy.
